This Week in devot:ee #38 - October 11, 2012
October 10, 2012
by Ryan Masuga
This week: Man overboard! Looking for a front end developer; new short URLs on add-on pages, and EECI is just around the corner.
Tomorrow is Jacob Russell's last day with devot:ee (and Masuga Design). He's jumping ship into the wild, turbulent waters of self-employment. Jacob contributed a lot to devot:ee's success over the past three years, and has certainly vetted his fair share of add-ons. We thank him for his years of service and wish him the best of luck. We're still bringing him down to EECI, so you might consider buying him a drink for all the work he's done on devot:ee; we're sure he wouldn't complain.
As always, if you have general questions or need help you can still email firstname.lastname@example.org.
devot:ee Needs a Front End Developer
We would like to find someone in the Grand Rapids, MI area to fill a front-end developer role and take on some of the tasks of maintaining devot:ee. Our current job posting is on Authentic Jobs. If you're in West Michigan and this looks interesting to you, please apply!
New dvt.ee short URLs on all add-on pages
We added short URLs to each add-on page. Easy one-click copying for your sharing pleasure. http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/playa is http://dvt.ee/playa, for example. This is a custom module put together by Adrienne Travis (@adrienneleigh).
EECI is right around the corner and we'll be there. We shipped a bunch of shirts out yesterday and we're pretty certain that almost everyone will be able to get one. We think this EECI is going to be pivotal in knowing where ExpressionEngine is going in the near future. We're sure this last Whoooz-run EE conference is going to be very interesting.
