Late night edition: notes about minimum payouts for developers.

Minimum Developer Payouts Coming Soon

Like many other services that make regular payouts, we're implementing a minimum on payouts. It's not feasible for us to airmail checks to the other side of the globe when the cost of postage, materials and time to send the payout actually cost us money.

Minimum payouts will be $100. If you're not earning $100 every month or at least every couple months, you might ask yourself how you might better promote or improve your add-ons.Do people know about them? Are they priced appropriately? A better question might be to reassess why your add-ons are commercial at all if they are at a very low price point with moderate sales.

If you still haven't hit the $100 threshold by the end of a calendar year, we'll pay out what is owed for the last payout of that calendar year (which is actually made in February of the following year, due to the one month delay on payouts), so that everyone starts out at $0 at the beginning of the next calendar year.

We aren't implementing this minimum immediately because there are a few technical things to complete, but we wanted to inform you in advance.

If you have questions or concerns about this upcoming change, email sales@devot-ee.com.
