A New Orders API for Commercial Developers

January 21, 2011
by Ryan Masuga

With our new orders API, commercial add-on developers can get information about items they’ve sold through the devot:ee store in JSON format.

Thanks to David Dexter at Brilliant2 (the shop behind the brand new BrilliantRetail add-on for ExpressionEngine 2), we now offer an Orders API so that developers of commercial ExpressionEngine add-ons who sell through the devot:ee store can get info about the items that have been sold in JSON format. Visit the Orders API page for more details and some sample code. You should, for example, be able to set up a cron job to retrieve this data on a regular basis to do with as you please. Try it out and let us know what you think. Thanks, David!

This doesn’t seem to be working for me. The $response I get back is always “Authorization Failed”.

airways: I just made a change to your account on our end, so please try again. If it still isn’t working for you, email me at ryan at devot-ee.
