Webservice (previously Entry API) is a module that creates a REST/XMLRPC/SOAP server under the hood of the ExpressionEngine CMS. It support out of the box a Entry API with support for third party addons support (Grid, Matrix, Playa, Relationship etc...). Additional you can extend the API with other APIs like;Comments, Categories, Channels etc...

Installation

  1. Install the module via the add-ons section.
  2. Go the Webservice module and start creating new services.

I have been using Webservice and the category and member packs to feed Ember with ExpressionEngine data.  This addon is dead simple to use, and Reinos’s support of the addon has been absolutely critical to my projec’s success.  I can’t overemphasize how great the product and support have been!!
