Add-On Type(s)

Fieldtype

Tags

This fieldtype for EE2 is a one to many relationship tool, on a shoestring. It lets you select entries from multiple channels, and store their entry ids in a 12|22|44|45 format. The fieldtype has a drag drop interface for ordering selections, and entry ids are stored in your selection order.

This add-on is now redundant because EE now has multi-relationships built in as of EE version 2.6.0

The only reason you should be purchasing this is if you are stuck on a pre 2.6 version of ExpressionEngine.

If you are updating to 2.6+ with an existing Selectatron field, I’ve written a migration module to convert Selectatron fields storing as native relationships to native EE relationship field by keeping your data intact.

Cool little plugin.  If you need straight up one-to-many relationships in both directions you can’t go wrong with this.  Ok, so it’s not Playa but it’s not trying to be.  Well written, great interface and just does the job.  This is KISS at it’s best ;)

I was looking for a simple way to setup a 1 to n relationships for relating n galleries to 1 album. The Selectatron was just what I needed.

The selectatron turns out to be quite a find.

I’ve always thought the native relationship field was too basic to be of much use, and i’ve always thought that the commercial relationship add-on that is out there is a) too expensive and b) overkill for 99% of my needs.

This is really very good.
