Editor's Pick
Each month the devot:ee staff picks an add-on that's especially well thought out, well built, and useful. They're add-ons that we love and think you will too!

Template Routes was chosen in February 2014.

Control your URLs by remapping URI routes to a specific template, using CodeIgniter-style routing rules.

As of ExpressionEngine 2.8, there is a new core feature called Template Routes. To avoid confusion with this new core feature, this add-on has been renamed Resource Router, which has all the same features as Template Routes + a whole lot more. You’ll find instructions for upgrading from Template Routes there.

Excellent if you don’t want that “/category/” indicator in your URLs :-)

Fantastic extension. I’ve been using conditional embeds as my method of template routing for years. This is far more sane and is actually simpler to set up.

Routing like this is something I always need to do at some point on ExpressionEngine sites. There are similar add-ons out there for routing, but this is dead simple (or complex if you need it to be!), and works well. Nice work, Rob!

This is the routing add-on ExpressionEngine needed. Template Routes is so easy to use and is great for handling complex URIs.
