Hi, I want users to receive notifications when someone replies to their comment because this stimulates discussion a lot, but…
I don’t like to turn on autoapprove because some people just post stupid spam like comments. They are not actually spambots, but just people that post garbage or try to insert links, so autoapprove is not an option for me.
Can you please make threaded comments work with the manual approving of comments? Without it TC is not a complete solution for me as I’ll have to choose to either auto approve all comments and accept the garbage that comes with it, or otherwise turn on manual approval which’ll firewall the garbage comments but cripple the comment notification system.

Hi,
you can only use ‘notify about new comments’ feature (which is built in to EE) and not ‘notify about new comments in this thread” (which is specific to Threaded Comments) when your comments are moderated.
This is planned feature however, but will be released only in next year.
