According to the ‘docs’ (extension description on devot-ee), yes. I set up a global var for the folder path, and created the folder.
Refreshing front-end pages with the new snippet syntax {snippet:my_snippet} just displayed the raw code as is. Nothing added to the new folder. Tried creating a snippet through the cp, added it to a template, loaded on the front-end, nothing in the folder.
Re-read the ‘docs’, and saw the mention of the default /system/expressionengine/snippets/ folder. I didn’t have a folder by this name, so created it (all folders had proper permissions, btw). Refresh, nothing. Tried manually creating a file in the /system/expressionengine/snippets/ folder, but couldn’t display on the front end.
Deleted the /sys/..../snippets/ folder, and all of my previously created snippets are now gone…
Uninstalling this addon, and hoping that one of my db backups had the damn snippet code. These things were so poorly implemented by EL, we shouldn’t even need 3rd party addons for this…
