“Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead.”
Hi I keep getting this error message when submitting sitemap to Google. I made sure I created the file as XML with only the {exp:sitemap:get} tag inside this template.
The template file is inside my default_site directory and I have provided the full server path to Google.
Your assistance with this will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Marcos

Hi Ben, I posted a reply over the weekend stating the issue was resolved but I’m not sure why it’s not showing up. You can close this support request. Thank you for your time. (The issue seemed to be that Google didn’t like it when I wrote the file extension in the path (site map.xml)...when I uploaded it as “../sitemap” without extension it read fine).
