A few issues…

Support (Resolved)

Hi.

Just installed the add-on, and are experiencing a few issues:

1/ Initially I got a page full of PHP errors. After a bit of searching, found this thread:  http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/support/sitemap-module/viewthread/4972. This resolved the issue. Maybe it’s worthwhile putting this in the documentation somewhere?

2/ On the Sitemap tab of the channel entries, I get a shedload more PHP errors. I tried the suggestion in this thread http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/support/sitemap-module/viewthread/4762 , but it didn’t fix it.

3/ In the addon settings, “View Rendered Sitemap” is struck through. I’m guessing that this is because www.mysite/sitemap doesn’t contain the required tag. This is because at that URL I currently have my HTML sitemap - there doesn’t seem to be an option to define a custom URL for the XML sitemap.

Many thanks.

Regarding the template, yes it is found, but why is “View Rendered Sitemap” struck through in the add-on settings?

Many thanks.

can you check if the sitemap extension is enabled?

“View Rendered Sitemap” should be clickable if a template exists with the {exp:sitemap:get} code in it.

Yep, it’s enabled. My template with the tag is at the URL mysite/google-sitemap, and the module is outputting XML there.

and can you confirm that you tried resetting the layout on the publish page and have included the channel in the Sitemap Module settings?

OK, it seems there is an issue if you are already using custom layouts. The only way to remove the PHP errors is to reset the layouts, and then recreate them all. Not ideal.

The “View Rendered Sitemap”  is still struck through.

yes i realise this is a pain but there is no other way to manage this in EE at present

OK, thanks for your help.

The “View Rendered Sitemap” being struck though doesn’t affect the working of the module, so I guess it’s not really an issue.
