Batch update all existing entries to enable “Ping Search Engines”? [resolved]

I know that the “Ping Search Engines” is enabled by default for all new entries, but how can we update all of our old entries? We have thousands of entries and aren’t too stoked to go in and update them all one by one.

the “Ping Search Engines” checkbox is only really useful when publishing a new entry. at that moment it will ping the search engines to inform then about a change in your sitemap. there is absolutely no need to do anything to old entries as the sitemap will not have changed. is this clear?

That makes sense. I wasn’t aware that it only pinged search engines for new content and not a “date last updated” kind of update.
