I really need to get a custom field out of one of my channels which holds the link to the PDF for the particular entry so i can list all PDF’s within the sitemap…
Any ideas?

are the pdf’s not linked to from any pages? the purpose of an xml sitemap is in general to help search engines discover all pages on a site rather than all files or resources.
