Hi there - recently switched hosting providers and started getting this error whenever updating an entry:
Sitemap
An error was encountered while trying to notify Google about this entry
An error was encountered while trying to notify Bing about this entry
Any thoughts on how to fix this?

The Sitemap add-on requires cURL, perhaps this is disabled on your new hosting provider?

I too am having this same problem.
My hosting provider is ArcusTech.
They were recommended to us as they are well versed in Expression Engine.
Is there a way I can tell if their hosting plan doesn’t include this?
Using EE 5.3.2 in an MSM environment.

I would be very surprised if cURL was disabled on an ArcusTech account. Can you check with their support?

Google no longer accepts sitemap updates through a request, it must be done through the search console. Bing still does though, so if cURL is enabled then it should work. Are you seeing errors for Bing as well?
