W3C Validation

Feature (Resolved)

Thanks for the great plugin, however I’m having an issue with validation.

Is it possible for Simple MailChimp to generate W3C valid code?

When I test pages of my website using the W3C Validator, it throws up multiple errors:

1) Bad value true for attribute novalidate on element form.
2) Attribute autocapitalize not allowed on element input at this point.
3) Attribute autocorrect not allowed on element input at this point.
4) Duplicate attribute type.
5) Attribute autocapitalize not allowed on element input at this point.
6) Attribute autocorrect not allowed on element input at this point.
7) Duplicate attribute type.
8) Attribute autocapitalize not allowed on element input at this point.
9) Attribute autocorrect not allowed on element input at this point.

Can I safely omit the following lines of code?

$tag_attrs[] "type=\"{$field_type}\"";
$tag_attrs[] "autocapitalize=\"off\"";
$tag_attrs[] "autocorrect=\"off\""

I’ve got a MailChimp signup form in the footer of my website; Simple MailChimp is is making every page on my site invalid.

Thanks

Hey,

Thanks for the feedback.

I have just uploaded version 1.5.0 which fixes a lot of the validation issues. For complete validation, you can add the w3c_validate=“yes” param to the {exp:simple_mailchimp} tag to suppress these attributes and pass validation.
