Hi crescendo,

first: your module looks quite solid.
cheers for your work already…

I just bought it and played around for a while.
here’s my impressions:

1. even if I have specified the “events” channel as event channel, my “news” channel got a “RSVP” tab aswell!
and thus generating a bunch of errors… like:

A PHP Error was encountered
Severity
Notice
Message
Undefined indexrsvp__rsvp_enabled
Filename
content/publish.php
Line Number
130
" id="hold_field_
A PHP Error was encountered
Severity
Notice
Message
Undefined indexrsvp__rsvp_enabled
Filename
content/publish.php
Line Number
130
" style="width100%; ">
A PHP Error was encountered
Severity: Notice
Message: Undefined index: rsvp__rsvp_enabled
Filename: content/publish.php
Line Number: 136

etc etc…

2. is there a possibility to specify more options than just the number of attendees?
I would like to have checkboxes if someone want’s to stay overnight. or other options based on the event in question…
could this be added within the form and linked to fields defined in the custom channel fields?
could I add an options matrix with option_name, option_value etc…?

thanks in advance
stefan

Hi Stefan

I apologise for the slow response, I’ve been out of the office and should have got someone else to check the support forums.

Regarding the first error, I have seen that happen with multiple add-ons, and usually happens when there is a corrupt publish page layout. Unfortunately ExpressionEngine isn’t very good at recovering from these. The best solution is to edit the publish page layout for channels where you are seeing the error, select all member groups, then click ‘Remove Layout’. You will then need to recreate your publish page layout if you have customised it. You should definitely not see the RSVP tab on channels other than your events publish page. Can you try this and let me know if it fixes the error?

With your second request - this is not currently possible, but I could certainly add it. Do you need to have different options per event? That would be more difficult, as it would require templating the different inputs on the front end. If you have the same options for all events, it would be pretty trivial to add.

Regards,
Adrian
