I am investigating an issue for a client who has been using Protected Links on their site for a few years. The table protected_links_links has grown to be nearly 0.5GB.
Is there a safe way to prune this table?

If all your links are front-end-generated, and you provide the way to create links from templates that user can access - then you can safely empty the table.

In thisd application there are also manually created links as well as template created links.

Then you can delete only rows which have cp_generated=‘n’ (that is, delete only front-end links)

Thanks, thats excellent. So that I preserve the last couple of years links for statistical analysis can I assume that the link_date is the date the link was created ?
Thanks
