Hi ya,
I was chatting with you when you first launched this. We spoke about the ability of hooking up with Assets AWS?
Just wondering if you ever made any headway on this?
Cheers

I definitely have spent some time on this, but don’t have anything workable yet. It turned out to be a lot harder than I expected, but I do have a better idea of how to handle it now. It’s still going to be some time before I get it ready though.
You are still the only person to ask for this too, so the other stuff had higher priority. :) However, if this remote file stuff was easier I would have already added for you, it’s just taking a lot longer than expected.

ooo000 I’m gonna +1 this feature request.
I’m actually using a cron job to mirror my folders into Amazon so if photo frame had a way either through Assets or just an option itself I’d definitely be using it.

Hello. Has there been any movement on this one or will it be in an upcoming release?

This would still be a very good addition! Actually, we need it…

Well, I’d be much happier, if even one of my standard support requests would be answered!
I even emailed the developer directly multiple times. Just nothing!

Just in case this won’t be implemented, I created my own fieldtype.
I only needed the crop functionality. So I made a simple fieldtype, using Assets (including remote storage), getting crop sizes with Jcrop and using the values together with ce_image in the frontend.

Well, I don’t know how to create one’s own plugins, since I don’t know too much about PHP in general. :(
Is this fieldtype publicly available - maybe even commercially?
I’m using Assets as well, so if it’s not too specifically tailored to your site, I’d absolutely love to get my hands on this. :D
