Ok, so my code is below, the embed passes in the url_title which is “bob-bobson” for example.
There are 3 entries in ch_testimonials by bob-bobson. If i replace the embed with “bob-bobson”, still no luck.
Am i missing something obvious here?

{exp:paternitee:entries
    channel
="ch_testimonials"

status="Published"

show_expired="yes"

show_future_entries="yes"

limit="1"

dynamic="no"

orderby="random"

field:cf_testimonial_teacher="{embed:teacher}"

field_type "playa"

}

<blockquote>

"{cf_testimonial_statement}"

</blockquote>

{/exp:paternitee:entries}

Cheers!

Hm, this looks correct to me.

Can you add a {if no_results} {/if} conditional into the template and see if it is in fact getting no results?

We admittedly haven’t done much testing with the status, show_expired and show_future_entries parameters. So I’d be curious if removing those temporarily would change anything.

Added that no_results conditional in, and it does indeed think there are no results. But there sure should be!!
I tried removing show_expired and show_future_entries but it made no difference. Not sure what else to try here!

Thanks!

Also, if i reduce that down to

{exp:paternitee:entries
    channel
="ch_testimonials"

field:cf_testimonial_teacher="{embed:teacher}"

field_type "playa"

and change the entries it would grab not to need those params, it still returns nothing!
