Is there a way to remove categories assigned to members “in bulk”?
I have a client with several thousand members. Those categories need to be changed annually and they would like to start with a blank slate.

You can simply clean up exp_category_members table in database
|

Any chance of having a “button” added to clear that up? My end-users are no where near capable of running a SQL query.

I was under impression that site admin will do that annually?
If you want users to do it, you can create simple SQL script for that.

No. The “site admin” is responsible for the members. A button in the user interface they are already using would be much easier for them to handle than even a script.
