Hi Jenn and anyone else involved in this.
First of all a big apology for not having replied sooner but for some reason I never get notified of forum replies here. As the developer I am meant to get them automatically but they are very very hit and miss. I’ve emailed the moderators here at devot-ee.com on numerous occasions but have never heard anything back regarding this.
I’ve only just been made aware of this thread by someone DM’ing me on Twitter wondering if I was still around. I am indeed and am very upset to hear about all the problems people have been having with this and also the fact that I’m still not receiving forum thread notifications here.
That aside though, let’s see if we can get this all sorted out once and for all.
I’ve just tested the plugin that I have on my computer with a brand new (downloaded literally 1 hour ago) ExpressionEngine 2.50 install and all worked fine.
I have therefore completely replaced the files available on this site so if you could first re-download the files from the main plugin page and use those instead as I know 100% that these work fine with absolutely no errors.
The way I have it working is very very simply in that I created a Default Site (short name = default_site) Channel and in that created some ‘test’ products.
I then added these items to the Simple Commerce Module giving them prices.
With the templates that are available in the newly uploaded file this will set you up with an exceptionally simple shopping cart to see everything working.
Once that’s running for you then you should be able to very easily take which bits you need and modify them to look / fit in with your site.
Please let me know if this works out for you now as I’ve tested this 3 times on my end tonight and all is working fine so I don’t foresee hopefully anyone having any problems with this.

P.S. Jenn - Sorry to hear that your clients commerce system was down due to this although the cart is only one part of the system and wouldn’t have ever affected the Simple Commerce Module in any way so you should have still been able to utilise that part. Is that not the case? Also were you originally using the plugin okay and then it suddenly went wrong as that’s what it sounds like you’re saying here?
