This functionality is baked-in to EE as of version 2.3, configurable per-upload directory on the File Upload Preferences screen. Just FYI.

For some reason I have not succeeded at getting that to automatically resize my uploads (on 2.4). I do need to play with it some more. This is a plugin that I’ve had laying around for about a year and finally decided to upload.

Yeah, it’s definitely been a bit buggy in earlier releases, but it’s gotten much better in 2.4. Just wanted to make sure folks knew it was there natively. :)

Hi Derek,
I don’t think the functionality to resize the original image is possible in the standard version of EE, only extra images. If so, please explain where this can be done :)
