I’ve been using Edit This for quite some time and recently upgraded to 2.7.2 (I can’t confirm for sure this just happened after the update, but it’s used pretty regularly so it seems likely). I don’t want to talk too specifically about the site (it’s private) but it’s set up much like a music database might be with a channel for albums, and second channel for songs (all of which are related to an album).
Album 1
—Song 1
—Song 2
—Song 3
—Song 4
—Song 5
Album 2
—Song 6
—Song 7
—Song 8
—Song 9
So then, when I display the album page, I have it list the data that goes along with the album, as well as all the songs that are related to it and I include an Edit This button for both the album and each song. But when you click the Edit This link next to a song entry, it takes you to the entry for the album entry instead.
Any ideas? Could this be related to the new relationship fields in EE?
Thanks.

I figured this out. You have to now scope the ID variables within the relationship. So
{exp:edit_this:entry entry_id=”{entry_id}” channel_id=”{channel_id}” author_id=”{author_id}”}
becomes
{exp:edit_this:entry entry_id=”{parents:entry_id}” channel_id=”{parents:channel_id}” author_id=”{parents:author_id}”}
