{base_url} fetching odd results

Hey guys,
We attempted to use {base_url} to run the deeploy helper replacement, but it’s showing weird results:
- All channel urls correctly fetch the base url stated on the config.php
- “URL to the root directory of your site”, however, saves a different url from an old staging domain that hasn’t been in use for years. We don’t have any record of that string on the config file or the database, we have no idea where it comes from.
We’re scratching our heads a bit with this. Do you have any idea where it might be pulling this information from?
