Map Fieldtype Broken in 2.10.1

The Map Fieldtype appears to be broken in 2.10.1. The response does not return the marker json, it actually saves in the actual address in the database. This corrupts that entry on reload and pretty much breaks the entry.
Testing in 2.9.3 or older functions correctly. The error appears to be just using the fieldtype in the newest version. Can you confirm?

Hi,
Wondering if you had any luck resolving this issue? Having a similar problem myself where the field type has stopped working.
Any help much appreciated.

We had to move to other choices and write some custom stuff ourselves. We never received any response.

Yeah the developer has gone awol. However, if the problem is with the fieldtype, you may want to check this post: https://devot-ee.com/add-ons/support/google-maps/viewthread/15475. I don’t know if it will solve your issue, but the solution does work if the map fieldtype is not putting in a marker.
