Hi, maybe I am misunderstanding Firemail function, but much in the same vein as campaign monitor or other mail apps, I would like to create templates so that a client can easily edit/add/etc. information to.

Is this possible through Firemail if I create a HTML template?

While you won’t find the advanced drag-and-drop functionality you can get with a top-tier dedicated email service like MailChimp, you can indeed create standard EE templates which contain as much markup and EE tags as you like, then import them into the message body with one click.

Note that using this method you could, for example, create a channel to hold your emails, complete with as many custom fields of various types as you liked, and have your client create one entry in that channel for each email. Then they’d choose the proper template when composing a new FireMail email, add the correct Entry ID or URL Title in the “Query String” box, then import. From there they can send the email, or edit the resulting output as they like.
