FireMail for EE3 and Mailinglists?

General (Resolved)

Hi Ben, just wondering if you had any news for FireMail support/upgrade for EE3, which as it appears has discontinued the Mailing List Manager. I guess this could be an opportunity for a better mailing list manager if a 3rd party developer like yourself tackled it! But, as with many add-ons, the EE3 upgrade/new project path seems to be constrained by lack of availability of add-on upgrades, or news of pending upgrades.

-thanks,

Hi Jim, you can find upgrade plans for EE3 add-ons here:
https://ellislab.com/blog/entry/expressionengine-3-add-on-developer-update-status

as well as on our own roadmap page:
https://www.putyourlightson.net/roadmap

we will be doing something to tackle the lack of the mailing list module in EE3 and hopefully improve on it.

Hey guys,

Also just wondering if you have any rough idea on the plans for Firemail on EE3. Saw from your road map that you have already released a couple of them and just needing to get an idea on Firemail.

Thanks heaps,
Alberto

Hi Alberto, unfortunately making FireMail EE3 compatible is not planned, at least in the foreseeable future. Sorry if you were hoping for this and we’ll revisit whether this will happen at all in the coming months.

Hi Ben,

Any chance views has been changed on this, or will there be no EE3 compatible Firemail version? Thanks.

No further plans for Firemail at this time I’m afraid.

Ben,

Any chance you would work with another dev to take Firemail over?  This would be a great plugin for EE6.

This thread is over 5 years old and we’ve moved our focus away from EE since, so not something we’d consider.

yeah, that’s why I was asking would you be willing to let another dev take the project over OR opensource it?

I’m not sure how that might work, but feel free to email info@putyourlightson.com with a proposal.
