Hey there. this looks like the perfect add-on but is it compatible with SafeCracker SAEF’s?

Expresso works in the CMS on the publish page only. it is not designed for front-end pages where SafeCracker would be used…

i’ll certainly look into what is involved to make it possible, but i would think that it is something that should be done in the front-end templates. it is very simple to implement using the CKEditor docs

I’d cast another vote for SafeCracker compatiblility. With safecracker being in the core now I suspect many expresso license holders will have assumed safecracker functionality out of the box. I know I did :(

in my latest tests Expresso seems to be working with SafeCracker. please test on your end and let me know how it goes. implementation is as simple as:
{exp:safecracker} {field:custom_field_name} {/exp:safecracker}

I updated to EE 2.2.1, Expresso 1.4.2. In opera 11.5 i cannot start typing in the expresso field. In IE9 everything works fine.
What is going wrong?

what about in other browsers (firefox, chrome, safari)? if it is a unique case for opera 11.5 then i’m not sure if there’s anything i can help with…

For the record: EE 2.2 and Expresso 1.6.1
On the Mac:
Safari 5.1 - Chokes
Firefox 7.0.1 - Good
Chrome 14 - Good

Mind you, saying that, I can’t get anything to display now. If there’s any thought on best practices for getting Expresso to display nicely in Safecracker, that would be great.

I’ve updated to EE 2.3 but still no joy. The Expresso Javascript seems to load fine, but all other code within {exp:safecracker} has all gone. If I apply a basic TEXTAREA field type, then all is fine with the world. Tried different parameter settings but nothing doing.
