Question: Mobile Upload Orientation Correction?

Hi, I’m developing a site which relies heavily on uploading images from mobile devices. In my experience with the native EE upload the orientation data is ignored and images are drawn on pages sideways or even upside down. My question is twofold, does CE Image help with mobile uploads in any way (from the chanel:form tag) and does it perform any sort of correction to images to set them at the correct orientation?
