BUG: ajaxPagination<?=@$tag_count?> = {...

Hi ya,

I have an issue with a site an I’m not sure if it is a bug or not?

Everything is set up and has been working OK. I have made no changes tho the pagination. However, I cannot now paginate.

Console loads and says:

232SyntaxErrorUnexpected token '?'

Which is:

ajaxPagination<?=@$tag_count?>

The beginning of the JS coding.

When I click on the pagination, I get:

ReferenceErrorCan't find variable: ajaxPagination1

Which is:

<li><a onclick="ajaxPagination1.fetchData('P8');" class="page-2 ">2</a></li

I would really appreciate your help on this. It is a live site and I need to find an answer. Many thanks.

EDIT:

I have got it to work for now by allowing PHP on that template. So the rush is off, bit I would like to find a solution to this if possible.

Hi,

Since the Error console outputs

ReferenceErrorCan't find variable: ajaxPagination1

it means that PHP in this line

ajaxPagination<?=@$tag_count?>

has been parsed and outputted the string “1”.

So it seems to me that the error outputted by the console is unrelated to the line with PHP code.

Thats good logic. Do you have any other ideas what might be causing it?

Hi ya,

I have just moved servers and this issue is still happening. My quick fix before of enabling PHP on the template isn’t working any more.

The var ‘ajaxPagination1’ is present in the code. Do you have any ideas what could be causing this?

I ran into this problem as well and the fix, it seems, was to upgrade PHP from 5.3.x to 5.5.x (also running EE 2.9.x) in case this is useful to anyone else.
