DISCONTINUED. The SEOverride module is a single-page, AJAX-based control panel for managing the title and meta tags for any URL on your Expression Engine powered website.

NOTE: This add-on is discontinued. - Editor.

About
The SEOverride module is a single-page, AJAX-based control panel for managing the title and meta tags for any URL on your Expression Engine powered website.

It allows you to quickly enter a title, keywords, description, and any number of other tags including open-graph tags for Facebook and Pinterest.  The SEOverride module will take the current URL and perform a lookup against your tag database.  If a match is found, your title and tags will be updated on the page, or you can select a tag to be the default when no match is found.

To aid in URL management, the module also contains a simple webcrawler that will scan your site for new URLs and allow you to easily add them from the list.

Requirements:
The SEOverride modules makes extensive use of JQuery on the front-end and CURL on the back-end as part of the webcrawler tool, so these are required for the module to work properly.

Usage
Place the SEOverride tag pairs in your header as shown below to output the title or meta tags that match the current URL.

{exp:seoverride:go query="false" debug="true"}
<title>MyEEWebsite - {seo_title}</title>
{seo_metas}
{seo_debug}
{/exp:seoverride:go}

The query option can be enabled to treat URLs with query strings as distinct search terms to load different meta data blocks, otherwise query strings will be ignored and only the main URL will be searched for.  Named anchors and ajax-style hash-bangs are ignored and automatically removed from any current URL when performing a search.

The seo_debug variable is optional and can be enabled with debug=“true” and by placing {seo_debug} anywhere within the tag pairs.  It will output information related to the search process that SEOverride uses while searching for URL matches.

Improvements:
Since this is the first release of this module, please contact us with any bugs or improvements that you would like to see addressed.  We will work quickly to resolve any issues and make this as useful as possible for our EE and Devot:ee users.
