Verifies new registrations and places users into predefined member groups based on customizable invitation/registration codes.

Fight Registration Spam with Registration Codes!

Using the Registration Codes extension, you can create codes to place users to register directly into a pre-determined member group.

Optionally, you can require a valid code for new member registration. (i.e. You can restrict new sign-ups on your site to be allowed only with a valid invitation code.)

Use any registration form field!

The extension looks for the form field name that you specify. This allows codes to be provided in many clever ways:

  • Add a text input field to your registration form theme for users provide an invitation code.
  • Add a drop-down box or radio button control to allow users to self-select their own member group from a pre-defined list.
  • You can even set the extension to look for the value of a custom member field, or for a specific username or email address, etc. The possibilities are endless!

Plays nice with Solspace User module

Registration Codes works with sign-ups from EE’s default Member module and Solspace’s User module.

Hooks Used

If the add-on is an extension, and ties into ExpressionEngine's core files, it will use ExpressionEngine hooks. We are listing any hooks the add-on uses for developers to have an easier time locating other add-ons that they can reference for their own work.

  1. member_member_register
  2. member_member_register_start

Very easy to use and intuitive. I used this with Solspace’s Freeform seamlessly. Worth every penny.

Saves you time if your site requires user to register into different groups. 1 form can now be used to add members to any member group.
