Creates a floating submit button stops one from scrolling back to top of page when filling out long publish forms.

Expression Engine is great CMS but there are a few user interface issues that I always felt could be improved. One of these is when you create a weblog with a lot of fields. I often find after entering data into all these fields that it’s unusual that I then have to scroll back up to the top of the screen to submit the information.

My extension addresses this the same in the same way that Magento Commerce addressed the problem by providing a Submit Toolbar that appears when the normal submit buttons are scrolled out of view. I’ve put a quick video together to demonstrate how this works.

Since I often have other things to do in other tabs before an entry is done, more options on the toolbar would be nice — like tab links on the left & a “scroll to top” link on the right. Still, it’s helped me out on projects where I have to do a lot of entry editing before launch.
