Allows you to parse EE template data when publishing entries.

THIS ADDON HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED

Preparse adds a new dimension to publishing/editing your channel entries. Preparse allows you to pass custom field data and/or parse EE template data into a another custom field when publishing/editing an entry - something that is otherwise not possible. Based upon custom fields you specify, and EE templates you set, anything - including using PHP, plugins or modules - can be used to parse data and variables in your entry.

Preparse is a really neat add-on for EE. It can take a whole lot of data and input it into a single field upon submitting the entry, saving your templates a ton of processing. I wish you could preparse more than one output field using the same input field, but other than that, I love this add-on.

Do big things with this module.  Take the most intense processing tasks and do them once and then store the output back in the entry.  Makes soo many things possible.  Can’t wait to see it on 2.0!
