Don’t waste time with free PDF tools

Our own customers have said it, don’t waste time with the “free” PDF generation tools. You’ve got a project to finish! Make beautiful order recipients, invoices, product brochures, case studies and other downloadable documents using ExpressionEngine. We support Unicode, so other languages such as Arabic, Chinese, and Cyrillic are supported!

No monthly fees

No one likes a monthly fee, especially clients. PDF Press runs on your EE without depending on any 3rd party service.

Control your PDF design

With PDF Press you can set your document size, orientation, fonts (use CSS @font-face or upload your own) and even password protect your documents! You can even create headers, footers, watermarks, and page numbers in your document. We use the powerful DOMPDF library to generate PDFs, which means you get amazing control without spending thousands on dollars on expensive licenses.

Real support

PDF Press was created and is maintained by experienced and independent ExpressionEngine developers. We work on client projects and use PDF Press in our own work. We know what it’s like to have a client breathing down our necks while we wait for a support email to get answered. That’s why we work extra hard to answer and questions and help you with PDF Press and meet your project requirements.

If you’re not 100% satisfied with PDF Press you can return it anytime. No questions asked, no matter when or where you bought it.

Worked perfectly once we got through a couple of speed bumps (no fault of the add-on). PDF Press handled a difficult two-byte Asian language beautifully. Pat, in particular, supported us throughout the process. A+ for the add-on, A+++ for support!

Folks, don’t bother with the one or two other free options on devot:ee.  This is hands down the best option and great value.  Decent enough CSS support, floats aren’t great but for my use creating a simple template that outputted the info I needed with some basic styling meant perfect PDFs. A+

I have to agree with the other reviewers - a really useful module with great support!

Really useful module that’s pretty straight forward to configure. The real highlight though is the support. Cannot recommend this highly enough. Thanks Patrick

Great add-on, just what I needed!

CSS floats aren’t supported but that’s a limitation of dompdf, not this add-on.

Sorry, this needs to be tidied up. Every single online HTML to PDF converter does a better job of producing a PDF from my pages. If your page uses any kind of complex layout involving floats etc, the PDF output is simply useless.

Great solution for PDF generating from channel posts content. Good developer support but still require to eliminate few glitches.

The add-on is very easy to use and quick support from the author, the add-on is very flexible and useful, definitely my choice for PDF solution in future projects.

I found this an excellent solution for a client who requested PDF versions for content on their site.

Works great, and the debug view really helped with the pdf css design. Unicode worked as well, I just had to be careful to set the correct font weight as “normal”.

Not recommended for unicode languages. for me, it was a waste of money and time.
