Add-On Type(s)

This plugin is used to have a perpetual landing page (i.e. a user reach your site by a landing page and when he returns to home he is redirected to the landing page).

      Version 0.1
      Initial version

      Landing Page Code
This is the code to place on your landing pages.

      {exp:mf_perpetual_landing_page uri_string=’/landing/page’ days_before_expires=‘7’}

      - Sets the landing page uri_string. By default, this value is set to what ExpressionEngine returns.

      - Sets the days before the cookie expires. By default, this value is set to ‘7’.
      - Sets the cookie path. By default, this value is set to ‘/’.
      - Sets the cookie domain. By default, this value is set to what ExpressionEngine returns.
To get sub-domain wide cookies, you might want to set this to ‘’.
      - Indicates that the cookie should only be transmitted over a secure HTTPS connection from the client. When set to ‘y’, the cookie will only be set if a secure connection exists.
By default, this value is set to ‘n’.
      - When set to ‘y’ the cookie will be made accessible only through the HTTP protocol. This means that the cookie won’t be accessible by scripting languages, such as JavaScript.
By default, this value is set to ‘y’.
      Redirect Function
This is the code to place on top of your homepage (before anything else). It will redirect the user to the landing page if the cookie exists.

      - Allows you to choose between the ‘location’ method (default) or the ‘refresh’ method. Location is faster, but on Windows servers it can sometimes be a problem.
By default this value is set to ‘location’.
      - Allows you to send a specific HTTP Response Code - this could be used for example to create 301 redirects for search engine purposes.
It can only be used with the ‘location’ method, otherwise the parameter is ignored.
By default this value is set to ‘302’.
