With the Gmaps Data module you can convert your entries into searchable locations.
Gmaps Data has been renamed and updated in the new Maps Locator module. You can download it here
The Module comes with a default 1 location fieldtype, but when you have installed the Gmaps Fieldtype, the module save the locations automatically from out your Gmaps fieltype. This way you can have multiple locations per entry.
This module require the latest version of Gmaps

Works perfectly for my website search of car dealers. Allows me to have a Dealer in your Radius search and order by distance.
Also I received very fast support from the developer when I ran into an issue.

I used this in conjunction with the GMaps plugin to create a location proximity search. Had some issues initially, but the developer helped me out in a timely manner. Works great now.
