Custom System Messages provides an alternative to the the Specialty Templates for ExpressionEngine. All ExpressionEngine messages, regardless of type or severity, are filtered through the same group of templates, which are only editable within the Control Panel. If you use Subversion or Git to version your templates, the Specialty Template are left out. On top of this fact the Specialty Templates do not not parse other template tags, so embedding other templates, or using tags from third party add-ons do not work... until now.

This is a simple, lightweight and easy to use plugin to build an existing dropdown field in front-end by simple 2-3 lines of code. When you have a select field in any field group, it is not easy to call that in front-end for some other form. If you use channel form, you won't need this plugin. The channel form itself provides option to call the field of a group. But when you want to use a select box to some other form, i.e. a select dropdown of any channel needs to be provided to end user for any enquiry form or any other kind of form, you can use this plugin.

PHP Text Format

The PHP Text Format Plugin takes whatever text is between the appropriate tags and formats it according to the formating type you chose. This is obviously an unnecessary plugin most of the time since HTML and CSS can be used for this same thing. However, it is useful for formating text in places that HTML or CSS will not work. On a side note the PHP "ucwords" command seems to work much more reliably than the CSS for making the first letter of each word capital. For example CSS would take "jamie's" and create this "Jamie'S." Not exactly what you would want.
