Highly customizable eLearning for EE

eeXam brings a powerful, extendable eLearning platform to Expression Engine websites.  With multiple question types, question weighting, question files, an intuitive field interface and an extremely flexible set of config and possible modifications, eeXam is the developer’s choice for {ee:eLearning}.

Entry as Test

Using the eeXam custom field you can create your tests directly on the Edit Entry form.  You can even create multiple tests per entry as a course or sequence of tests.

Drag & Drop UI

eeXam’s intuitive drag and drop interface means editing and reordering questions is super easy.

Question Images & Files

You can assign files or images to individual questions.  These could be further information in a downloadable document or an image which forms the basis of the question itself i.e. “Who is this famous actress?”  Support for Pixel & Tonic’s Assets is included too.

Question Weighting

If some questions are more important than others, you can assign question weights to alter the overall marking of the test.

Simple or Complex Templating

You can display the test with a single tag with default settings or make use of the flexible parameters to customize every part of the test experience.

Clean HTML

Add-Ons that output lines and lines of crappy, convoluted and inflexible HTML are a pain. We have tried to make the code created by eeXam as efficient as possible.

Filter & Export Answer Data

You can filter and export detailed answer data in CSV format. You can track member’s progress through your tests.  This data is also available as a snapshot alongside each test on the Edit Entry form.

Notification Emails

You can create personalized notifications to send to members or administrators upon completion of tests. You can set whether to send on fail, pass or both.

jQuery API

eeXam includes its very own jQuery API to enable fine grain control over the front end test experience.  You can customize feedback, error messages or transitions etc.  We believe an Add-On’s JavaScript should be as flexible and as dynamic as its traditional EE tags.

Extend Extend Extend

We like extensions.  Bigger is better.  That’s why we’ve riddled eeXam with hooks from top to bottom.  You can alter export data - add custom member fields for example.  Or perhaps send an attachment with notification emails - who doesn’t like to receive a printable certificate?  The possibilities are (nearly) endless.
