Installation instructions

  1. Download the latest version of colorpicker
  2. Copy the colorpicker folder to /system/expressionengine/third_party/

You can now select color picker as a custom field

Useful, but version .9 doesn’t work with EE 2.1, and it breaks all the rest of the Javascript on the page. Switch the field to a text input field until this is fixed.

This add-on could use some usability tweaks. Instead of having the color in the background of the field, it would better if it was a thumbnail swatch so it doesn’t make the text illegible for dark colors. Having to click outside to close is a pain because of the ee jquery close field behavior.
