ExpressionEngine's extension manager and plugin manager does not display add-ons alphabetically. It could be irritating In case you use more than several add-ons: it's often impossible to find a needed one in the list without using browser's "Find" button. This is no more needed because this extension reorders alphabetically the list of extensions and the list of plugins. Now you will always find a needed add-on!
1) Copy the file exp.add_on_order.php into system/extensions folder on the server.
2) Log in into Control Panel and go CP Home > Admin > Utilities > Extensions Manager. Find extension “Add-on Order” in the list and click “Enable”.
That’s it! Now your extensions and plugins will be ordered alphabetically and you will always find a needed add-on!
