June 2012 Editor's Pick: Zoo Flexible Admin
Congratulations to the developers at ExpressionEngine Zoo for their work on Zoo Flexible Admin, an add-on worthy of being this month's editor's pick. Zoo Flexible Admin lets you fully customize the control panel menu for each member group. You can insert custom links, rename, re-order and remove menu items in order to create a more intuitive menu.
We've found that Zoo Flexible Admin makes navigating the control panel a much better experience for clients, particularly those that need a little more direction.
New Add-on Compatibility Categories
We updated add-on entries to include checkboxes for whether they're compatible with Pixel & Tonic's Matrix, Low's Low Variables, or Electric Putty's Better Workflow. We also updated the add-on filter so you can easily see lists of add-ons that are compatibile with each:
- Matrix compatible add-ons
- Low Variable compatible add-ons
- Better Workflow compatible add-ons
- The 8 add-ons we know of that are compatible with all three
