Three new add-ons this week. Peers Conference 2014 is next week, and Ryan Masuga will be there speaking and chatting about ExpressionEngine.

Peers Conference 2014

I've been invited to speak next week at the 2014 Peers Conference in Washington, D.C. (April 23-25). I'll discuss Masuga Design's decision to build Lamplighter, our new SaaS (Software as a Service) application for monitoring websites (including monitoring all your ExpressionEngine sites!), on the Laravel PHP framework. I'm fortunate to have been asked to share the experience our team had as we headed into (for us) uncharted development territory. Check out the lineup of speakers and sessions to see what sort of great people will be sharing knowledge. Of course, don't forget about the workshops.

I attended Peers 2013 in Chicago, and for a first-time conference, you could tell it was put together by a group that knows what they're doing. Jessica D'Amico (@justjessdc) and her team are passionate about putting together fun and educational conference experiences that are friendly, diverse, and inclusive. I'm looking forward to seeing my "conference friends" (those people who I feel like I know so well but only ever see in-person at conferences) as well as connecting with new people. If you want to chat about Lamplighter.io, SaaS, or ExpressionEngine, let's make sure to connect next week.

If it's not too late, you should consider coming to Peers. If last year's conference is any indication of how this year's will be, then everyone is in for a treat. If you can't make it, follow the #PeersConf hashtag on Twitter to see what is happening!

I also wrote about Peers 2014 on my blog.
