Time Select is an EE2 fieldtype that offers a configurable dropdown menu of times - perfect for use in an events channel.

Each Time Select field has two configuration options:

  • Display Style, which allows you to show the time in either 12-hour or 24-hour format on the publish screen.
  • Time Increments, which lets you choose to have the time options in the dropdown increment by 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour.

When displaying your field within your templates, you can format the output using standard EE date formatting tokens. If you don’t format your field output, the time’s value in seconds will be displayed.

{my_time_field format="%g:%i%a"}

This would display 7:00pm.

Time Select has been tested with ExpressionEngine 2.1.3, and is compatible with Matrix fields.

Simple and easy to use time section field. Works brilliantly for events via Matrix.

Great little field type. I was able to extend it to handle 5 minute increments as well, which would be handy in a future release.
