Get an invalid link response when attempting to use a URL to a PDF document:
http://www.stirling.wa.gov.au/Resident/Recreation-and-events/Walking-and-cycling/Bushlinks/Scarborough Trigg Heritage Trail.pdf
Any ideas why it’s a false negative?

Oh, and it’s possible that Facebook links are also returning a false negative too. Eg. https://www.facebook.com/BibbulmunTrackFoundation

Hey Brendan,
The first one was throwing an error not because it’s a PDF but because it has spaces in the URL, which is technically invalid. However, since that URL actually will work in all browsers, I went ahead and released an updated version of VZ URL that internally replaces spaces with ” ” (which is what your browser will do), and checks that instead. So you should be all set there.
For the second one, I can’t replicate it. Are you using the current version of VZ URL? What you are seeing was a known problem several version back, because Facebook is doing some browser-sniffing and trying to block non-browser requests. But as of version 2.1.3, I have been spoofing Mozilla which seems to keep it happy in my testing. I"m not sure why it wouldn’t be working for you…. Please let me know what version of VZ URL and PHP you are running, and I will see if I can figure anything out.
