I’ve been using this plugin for a while on a client website and for the articles it appears to work, but I tried to extend the {language_code} variable to a footer embed, and it would not load the Spanish language version.  I then set an alert(”{language_code}”), and even though segment_1 was es, and the {language_code} variable was working in the main template, the alert returned “en”.

I then went back to the Extension settings and saw the attached.  It did not look like this in the past and I don’t know when things might have changed.  I have done an upgrade to 2.3.1, but not having experienced any issues prior to today, I’m not sure if that was the cause.

The missing Espanol keys has historically been a permissions issue, but I have checked the bbr_multilanguage themes and extension folders and they appear to be set correctly.  I can try 775 instead of 755 if you think that might help.

Any other assistance would be appreciated.

Have you upgraded MLS, and if so what version did you use previously?

I did not upgrade MLS.  I believe I am using version 2.1.9, although it is still referring to itself as 2.1.8 as mentioned in a post I left in/around July when 2.1.9 came out.

EE upgrade does not cause any issue. Have you added or removed a new language? I’m doing some guess work to find the cause; since we have not seen such an issue before. Do you still have your language (translation) files in third_party/bbr_multilanguagesupport/language/ folder? Can you send us those files including a dump of you MySQL database table exp_extensions?

I’ve created an archive containing the export and the extension folder.  Where should I send it?
