In general, is it worth it to compress a single file with Minimee? Do I just need to do a time study in each case?

Hi Mike,
Looks like I missed a few from you…
If your source asset is un-minified, then yes I would recommend running Minimee on it, if not to simply squeeze that much more out of your page speed.
However if it’s an already compressed file then of course there isn’t a need. And if it’s an external resource on a CDN (e.g. http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.2/jquery.min.js), then I would also not run it through Minimee.
