I just upgraded to Expresso 2.1. on EE 2.4, emptied caches, cleared caches on browser, and did the update.

A few problems:

1) The editing box has no corner resize handle.
2) When i select some text, and click on the link button, the grey popup screen comes up, but no link picker window, or close button, so I have to hit the back button to clear.
3) I’ve turned on the movie icon, but it doesn’t show in the toolbar.

It’s a pretty vanilla setup. No custom css. Field Options are set to Full Toolbar. Didn’t have any problems with 2.0. Rolled back to 2.0 and all is well. Safari 5.1.1 on OSX 10.6.8

hi jim, can you ensure that the new themes folder was uploaded correctly? and are you getting any javascript errors?

I just re-downloaded the 2.1 package, deleted 2.0 and reinstalled 2.1. I verified the themes were from the 2.1 version, as they contained the video icon in the icons2 package (which isn’t available in the 2.0 package).

Still no video icon showing up in the toolbar, nor resizer handles. And the URL link dialog box doesn’t appear, just the grey screen.

What I have installed so far, other than the vanilla 2.4 EE package are the following:

Playa 4.1.0.3
Structure 3.2.3
SEO Lite 1.3.5
Snippet Editor 1.0
Forms 2.0.5

jim, i can’t replicate or figure out the issue, can you email me access details to your server (info@putyourlightson.net) and i’ll troubleshoot directly?

I’d appreciate knowing the solution you come up with, as I’m encountering the same issue (no link modal, just grey overlay).

Expresso 2.1.1 contains a fix for this issue

Sorry to say 2.1.1 did not fix the issue in my case.  I had to roll back to 2.0 to get it to work.

apologies, another bug surfaced after i updated, version 2.1.2 should really work this time!

just release 2.2 which contains a bug fix for the link modal window if structure, pages or navee is installed. should solve all issues in this thread.
