MSM, seems to try to edit entry from other site

I have a MSM install EE1.7.

I have masked CP access setup with path.php variables $system_path, $site_name,
and $cp_url set.

However when i click edit this it seems to try and log me into the previous viewed site so I get a message saying i’m not authorised to view the content.  If i change the site to the correct one then i can edit the content fine.

Any ideas?

Yes, that’s an issue with EE itself; the control panel remembers which site you WERE editing, and even if you go to a weblog for site B, if you WERE editing site A, you get that error instead of automatically switching contexts.

I haven’t been able to work around that yet.

you would have thought there was a site_id parameter for the control panel :(

Do you know how that site id information is stored, if it’s in a cookie I wonder if it would be possible to update the cookie using javascript and then forward you to the cp.
