Who is the copy, who is the original?

Hi there,

I just bought the plugin Delete Entries (http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/delete-entries1/). Ok, 5$, not a big deal, but I hate getting ripped off!

The thing is, this plugin look like yours (even in the parameters name). So, who is the original one?

Should I make a scandal ? ;)

We released the EE1 version of this plugin in 2010 (before the other Delete Entries plugin was out) then ported it to EE2 in early 2011.

I guess they have similarities cause they share some functions (as far as I understand, the other lets you delete only entries, not comments), but I don’t think it’s fair to talk about original and copy.

Maybe next time check all available plugins before buying anything :) and keep in mind that devot-ee has a 30-day refund policy (I know it’s too late in this case, but just to let you know for future reference).

Personally I’d say that 5$ for such a simple plugin is a bit of a rip off anyway..

Thanks for your response, and sorry if my message was a bit rude. My goal was just to know the differences between the two plugins, and why one was free and not the other. In the end, (it’s somewhat ironic) we have write our own plugin which better fits to our needs.
My just a grumpy old man ;)
