Would it be possible to get this working with MSM? Is it marked as not msm friendly because it has not been tested or because there are known issues? We can make code changes and test it out if you have suggestions. We currently use (and love) this plugin, but are in a situation where we need to move to msm, and would very much like to continue using this plugin.
